More Birthday Weekend Fun

Friday after Blaine's birthday he had his friend come over for the night. They played Legos, GI Joe's and other war scenarios all night.

Nana, Papa and Uncle Phillip also came for the weekend. This was their first time seeing our house since we had moved in. We all headed to the club house in the neighborhood for dinner. Friday nights are typically the one night a week that we always eat out. Since joining the golf association it was been wonderful. We love eating at the club house, it is so convenient, there is never a wait, and the prices are better than eating out at a restaurant. They set us up in a private room overlooking the golf course. I think everyone enjoyed their dinner and we all enjoyed dessert too :)

After dinner half of us took advantage of the nice weather and walked back to the house while the other half drove. The boys resumed playing after coming home. I asked if they wanted to watch a movie, they said yes, so I started one. They were just too busy playing to actually watch the movie, but Papa seemed to enjoy it, so it was not a total waste. The boys stayed up way too late playing, but seemed to have a good time. We had a big brunch the next morning. Papa and Brent prepared it for us while Nana and I walked the neighborhood. Then the day was spent playing and hanging out. That afternoon my cousin, Vicki, who was in town for the weekend, dropped off her oldest two and Olivia walked over. So all the cousins got to hang out and play:

We all had dinner and cake at our house. It was such a nice visit, it would have been perfect if each set of siblings (Tres and Vicki, Julie and Phillip) had our youngest siblings and their spouses there too (Kimberly and Jennifer). Hopefully we can plan some kind of mini-family reunion in the future...
