Blaine's school has an egg drop every year around Easter. The children and their parents are to make an egg contraption that will keep the egg intact as it falls from the roof of the school. Brent and Blaine googled "egg drop" to find some good ideas. This is the contraption they settled on:
It is some kind of octagonal figure made of tongue depressors and electrical tape. Two surgical gloves were stretched over the middle to hold the egg and allow the egg to bounce a little.
Well it looked cool, but the effectiveness all depended on the landing...The landing didn't go so well. But the guys still had fun. We will try again next year!
